Where I Offer Counselling
I currently offer counselling in two ways—Online or in person (in nature).
For those who prefer or need the convenience of online counselling, I offer secure sessions through Telehealth via the Jane app. This option allows you to connect from the comfort of your own home while still receiving the same supportive and personalized care as in person sessions.
(*CURRENTLY ON PAUSE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE) For in-person sessions, I provide Walk and Talk or Bench Talk sessions. Just as it sounds, these are counselling sessions that take place outside. You can let me know if you prefer to go for a slow paced walk or to sit on a bench. Nature provides a calming and grounding backdrop for our conversations, and together we can choose a meeting spot that feels right for you. I already have some beautiful places picked out in the Qualicum Beach and Parksville area; either by the ocean or in a park.
I’m happy to ensure you feel comfortable and supported in getting to our chosen location.
Important note: Nature sessions are weather permitted and if need be we can switch the session to online.

Areas Of Focus & Therapeutic Approach
I believe growth happens in a safe, supportive, and collaborative space. My approach is trauma-informed and client centered, with a focus on creating safety and trust in our work together. I draw from a number of different therapeutic models and theories, combining evidence-based practices with body-based awareness to support growth on both the emotional and physical level (because the two are connected).
Together, we’ll explore your unique strengths and resources, gently working through challenges and moving toward greater balance, resilience, and self-acceptance one small step at a time. I currently work with people ages 19 years old and up.

About Jessica
The short story
Why I chose counselling as my career, the heart behind my practice, and how we can work together
Life brings questions that don’t always have easy answers. Why am I feeling this way? Why did this happen? How do I move forward? If you’ve found yourself asking these kinds of questions, you’re not alone.
As a counsellor, my role is to walk beside you as we explore what feels heavy, uncertain, or painful , and to help you uncover the strength and clarity that already lives within you. Together, we can create space for self-discovery and growth.
The path that brought me here was not linear. Looking back, there’s a clear thread running through all of my life experiences, a deep desire to understand the meaning of life, myself, and others. Along the way, diving deep into my curiosity, I studied psychology, counselling, and somatic therapies like breath work. While also learning from travel, immersing myself in cultures, and navigating my own personal experiences with grief and life’s inevitable challenges. What I discovered is that healing and growth is a life long journey but it isn’t just about talking it’s about connecting with ones body, emotions, and sense of self in new ways.
This is the heart of my work: helping you…
Move through grief and life transitions with compassion and care.
Find calm and regulation through body-based practices while providing healthy coping tools/skills and resources.
Release patterns and beliefs that no longer serve you.
Reconnect with your inner resilience and sense of direction, all while moving at a titrated pace thats suitable for your nervous system.
I know what it’s like to sit with pain and wonder what comes next. And, I also know that, with the right support, those same experiences can become turning points; moments where you begin to rebuild, rediscover, and even grow.
If you’re ready to take that next step, I’d be honoured to support you on your journey.
